Abbotts Ann has been exploring the opportunities of running computer courses for local residents in conjunction with Cricklade College. The first thing was to explore the potential interest, and the response was truly amazing with close to 40 people registering an interest on a form in the new Village Shop.

The first courses are now well underway with the Cricklade Mobile Bus (managed by Jean Rodgers) parked at the Bulbery Sports Field which started on Tuesday 14th January, and the three sessions a day have all been fully booked for the initial "Taster Course" which will be followed by more detailed courses in the use of Word, the Internet, E-mailing etc.

The space on the bus is limited to 11 people per session, so sadly it was not possible to accommodate everyone to start with, but Cricklade are confident they will be able to cater for the majority of the people in the village who have expressed an interest in developing their computer skills on one of their ongoing courses.
